More observational drawing... except the weirdo at the
bottom right. That's all me! I like the drawing of the
girl reading the book.
Since 2007 I've been posting a sketch/doodle/whatever every week on my site. I'll be continuing this trend here on my blog and on my new site:

Last week for steampunky goodness!

Team Edara, the kickstarter RPG project I might possibly be doing work for is on it's last week to get funding!

They're only a few hundred away from meeting their goal! So if you have some money lying around and want to fund a cool indie project please click the link below! If they meet their goal I'll be doing the cover to the rulebook, which means designing some fun characters and doing a nice new original painting.

Things to Click on

The Internet is full of infinite beauty and horribleness... (mostly horribleness)
Here's some nice stuff that's caught my fancy as of late:

Been watching some interesting documentaries lately:
This was a great doc that starts out about female superheroes in comics but then expands into a greater discussion about women's representation in popular culture and media.

This was an eye opening documentary about five youths that were coerced by the police to admit guilt for a very serious crime they didn't commit.

Anita Sarkeesian's first video game video!

If you don't know the story behind this upcoming video series... please watch this video:

Okay now some art stuff:
Did you see Emily's amazing cover for Paizo?:

Here's a post about the process:

I love how "fantasy" this head covering looks:

I'm a huge fan of Frederik Storm's 3d work. He's really pushing those shapes!

The new Neil Blomkamp movie, Elisium looks amazing!

Put a gear on it!

If you're an RPG fan and want to help fund an indie tabletop game I urge you to check out Edara!

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/edara/edara-a-steampunk-renaissance-tabletop-rpg

Ryan Schoon, the game's creator, recently contacted me to see if I was interested in doing the cover to their first rule book. Because I like working with independent projects, I accepted. The project won't continue if they don't get funded. So if you're interested in being a part of something special please contribute!

I think the Steampunk genre of fantasy is interesting, and if it's done right it can be really cool and unique. I'm looking forward to working with Team Edara to create a cover image that really has some fun with the genre!
